~ It has a polycarbonate back and front shell which snap together easily and snugly around your iPad and includes snap-in touch-sensitive screen protection.
~ Another layer of iPad protection is added by wrapping a rugged all-enclosing rubberised skin around the inner shell. It includes dock, headphone jack, orientation/mute flip-open cover protection, plus integrated cover (without diminishing use) of your home, sleep and volume buttons. The speakers are protected but with cutouts to ensure no sound loss (see image) and your camera has lots of room to ensure no flashback.
~ To put the skin on, you work your way around the case, wrapping each corner over the polycarbonate case and lining up cutouts and flap closures.
~ Now of course, this "mini-fortress" does add some bulk and weight to your iPad, but that’s standard for this category of case or cover. How else could it do such a good a job at protecting your iPad?

5 Star: Drop tech case for ipad 2 (August 28, 2011)
This is a solid well constructed case. Others I know have complaints about their cases for one reason or another but i cannot say I have a single one. Yes it makes the piece weigh more but its great protection that you can trust. We needed this so our toddler could use our ipad. Unexpected plus -- the tread on it is attractively rugged and makes it slip proof on angled surfaces.
5 Star: iPad 2 gumdrop case (August 26, 2011)
This case is our saving grace! We have an austic 7 yr old that used an iPad for a communication device (as well as for fun). We are on our 2nd iPad after he dropped and shattered his 1st. We have gone through many cases looking for something that can handle the abuse. This case is the bomb!
