New music format - DDA
A new music trial - bridging the gap between the offline and online music world. Commencing 1 December, you can buy a new format of music - a rubber stylised DDA format USB stick. Tracks are provided in MP3 or WAV format. As well as music, each DDA album provides access to online content such as album art, song lyrics, photos, news, music videos, updates from the band and social networking.

Vines cancel all shows
The Vines have have cancelled all upcoming shows - the Homebake, Pyramid Rock and Big Day Out festivals, as well as their upcoming Japanese tour. Kylie's new single - and new website Kylie Minogue is making a comeback in a big way. Along with the release of her new single, 2 Hearts, (which incidentally, was leaked on the internet prior to release) and her album on 26 November, she has also just launched a social networking site KylieKonnect. Fans are able to download Kylie tracks and ringtones, register on their mobile phone, blog, read her blog (which she can update on the go) and socialise. That's certainly a big move with the times!

ARIA Awards 2007 results (AUS) For any of you who didn't watch the ARIA awards Sunday night, there were a lot of good performances, and some good outcomes. Of all the nominations, Josh Pyke won three, John Butler Trio won two, as did Sneaky Sound System. However, it would be fair to say that Silverchair were the winners on the night, walking away with five awards. Best Male artist going to Gotye and Best Female - Missy Higgins. Live Earth Australia revealed Organisers today announced details of the Australian curtain-raising show for the seven continent, 24-hour Live Earth concerts to be held on 7/7/07. Aussies show loyalty to CD's - bucking worldwide trends (AUS) Sales of popular Australian music are at a record high, according to figures released last week by the industry's peak body, ARIA. Last year, Australian music represented 37 per cent of the Top 100 album chart (up from 27 per cent in 2005), and 27.2 per cent of the Top 100 singles chart (up from 22 per cent).
