To be designated as either the V9m or the V9c, the 2-inch external display on this thing looks positively huge in comparison to the KRZR's stamp sized external screen.

  • Nokia becomes the first phone maker to add energy saving alerts to mobiles (US)
  • Nokia has launched the first mobile phones to include alerts encouraging people to unplug the charger once the battery is full, a move that could save enough electricity to power 85,000 homes a year. Starting with the new Nokia 1200, Nokia 1208 and the Nokia 1650, the alerts will be rolled out across the Nokia product range.

  • Zune to Get Wireless Downloads, Version 2 Hardware, Flash Player (US)
  • Apparently you'll finally be able to put your WiFi to good use by using open WiFi hotspots and Microsoft points for downloading tracks. (Sorry, no word about subscriptions, syncing, and the like.) Also up to bat in the near future, further confirmation that we can expect Zune v2 and a flash Zune in the next month or so.
